SYNOPSIS - The story of Olive, a struggling artist who wishes upon a shooting star that her cat Henry could hang out with her like a person. The next morning Henry says "Hi Olive!" Surprised, Olive blurts out "You know my name?" and Henry dryly replies "Duh." It's a poignant, absurdly funny story about a girl and her very best friend cat-boy fumbling through their mid-20's - eating breakfast burritos, applying for crappy jobs and figuring out what it means to be in the world. To cover himself, Henry borrows Olive's dresses and tries to fit into his new world despite his hairballs and the impulse to scratch couches. But these struggles are all an allegory for what it means to be in a relationship in that awkward age between being a kid and an adult. Beautifully rendered in a muted, pastel palette, Catboy has a "Neo-Grunge" fashion-inspired look featuring Kurt Cobain fuzzy sweaters, oversized rose prints, and Chinese tiger motifs.
